I am a social science researcher in the Bronfenbrenner Center for Translational Research at Cornell University, where I study sexual health and social movements.
My work examines collective action in response to sexual/behavioral health inequities. In particular, I document the stories of grassroots health advocacy groups from the early HIV/AIDS epidemic, honoring the community-based prevention campaigns created by young LGBTQ activists during the height of the crisis.
As an applied researcher and macro social worker, I partner with organizations across New York to co-develop and evaluate programs related to community health and empowerment. This includes connecting young community members with participatory action research skills — encouraging them to ask critical questions about health and the social world, while designing strategies to keep each other safe.
I earned my Master of Social Work and B.A. (Hons) from Binghamton University. I am a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in the State of New York.
