I am a social science researcher in the Bronfenbrenner Center for Translational Research at Cornell University.

My work examines how marginalized communities — particularly young LGBTQ people — organize to confront sexual and behavioral health inequities, as well as the community-based health promotion strategies they develop to keep each other safe.

I document the stories of grassroots health advocacy groups from the early HIV/AIDS epidemic, honoring the community-based prevention campaigns created by young LGBTQ activists during the height of the crisis.

Hand-in-hand with this work, I partner with organizations across New York to co-design and evaluate programs related to community health and empowerment. This includes connecting young community members with participatory action research skills, encouraging them to ask critical questions about health and the social world.

I earned my Master of Social Work and B.A. (Hons) from Binghamton University. I am a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) in the State of New York.
